Shorts
It's been adidas heritage month for the NBA. Certain teams have been wearing old school uniforms. Until tonight the cuts were the only thing that were modern.
Lakers unveiled the short shorts against the Celtics. I hope they win and superstitiously keep wearing them. Hopefully others do too. Maybe this could be a change in NBA fashion. I see dudes that had 4x tall tees in the closet transition to the extra medium, after 1 Jim Jones video... So who knows?
One thing I do know is... If you see me on the court you will not see my knees.
Thank you FAB 5.
Oh yeah, my only fashion critique is that the jerseys are too big and the biker shorts don't match.
And the best costume goes to.... Trevor Arizza. The knee pads killed it. (picture coming soon)
As I write this the 2nd half begins and the Lakers punked out. They are wearing the long shorts. Too bad. They actually did something hot for once.

5 QUESTIONS
Boundless NY just dropped the Holiday Line 07 for Undrcrwn and we had a chance to start off our 5 Questions section with Dustin Canalin the Creative Director for the brand.
1. What’s good with the Knicks?
DC: Let’s not talk about the obvious. Being from the Bay Area and having years of shitty teams, I won’t go there with them. But I will say they do make for good drama on Sportscenter.
2. You make clothing for the people in the stands. Classic pieces for people that come from every walk of life but enjoy watching the game. Where besides basketball is the inspiration for your team coming from?
DC: Inspiration comes from everywhere. The streets, the runways, my history. There is a real functional purpose to everything. I always ask myself what do I need that nobody is making. We’re trying to give people good quality, creative garments to accent different styles. Timeless and classic with a twist. They say they don’t make shit like they used to. We do!
3. The new Freeway or the new Broad Street Bully album?
DC: I plead the fizifth. 1,2,3,4, fif!
4. Everyone knows that sex sells. The people want to know if Undrcrwn were a supermodel, which fine ass lady would the brand be?
DC: COCO. Just because.
5. What one issue do you want to air out? Something on your mind? Give the Boundless readers a piece of your mind.
DC: I would like to send a shout out to all the bootleggers. Santee Alley, Canal st., 28th and Broadway, Fulton Mall, and all the other spots all around the world. The bootleg game is amazing these days. Sometimes quality is better than the originals. It’s truly innovative products. If anyone gets a chance to go to Magic, there is a section there now where all the bootleg spots go. Go to Canal then go to the mall. Same shit. I’m waiting for electronics collabos. Jordan 4 T.V.’s or Louis Vuitton microwaves.
Dustin was recently named one of the Johnny Walker Blue Label 35 UNDER 35 This kid is a hustler and we respect that here at Boundless.
Check out his blog here for the inside info on all the projects he is working on and make sure you check out Undrcrwn’s re-launched website.
Stay Stylin on Santa this holiday with undercrwn and Boundless NY.

ICE COLD PREVIEW
Gil2zero
ON the same day Adidas announces the GIL2ZERO project to the world, Gil goes into surgery.
I heard from people in his camp that he was blogging right before he went into surgery.
The shoes look good. Peep http://www.giltv.com/ to checkout all the shoes. The Undrcrwn shoe wasn't complete in time for a mini commercial, but maybe since he has some time on his hand we can make something happen.

Collectors Item
I posted the Jordan wings hoody a few weeks ago. I guess other people didn't think that it was as cool as I did. I guess the fact that someone (atleast 2 people) actually thought that that was a good idea.
They recalled it. But I'm keeping mine. I think I may go try to buy more.
Look for my ebay auction coming soon.
CREATIVITY
This is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen. It's pretty awesome that someone actually had to tell someone that they wanted to do this. I wish I was there...
Funny enough they have commercials and ads. Someone is making money off this.
Creativity comes in so many forms.

ALL DAY I DREAM ABOUT...
CORNER OFFICE
Working from the Adidas US headquarters in Portland, Oregon I set up shop in the adidas basketball lounge. Furnished by some brand named UNDRCRWN. Biters! They took Mies van der Rohe's Pavillion Chair aka "Barcelona Chair" and put basketball leather on it. How un-original.
Peep the view.
This makes me want to upgrade my office.
I had to blur out the next UNDRCRWN vs. ADIDAS COLLABO. This one is going to be crazy.

NEVER NOT WORKING
I flew into Portland Oregon today.
It was a pretty bad landing. Although I fly all the time, I still don't like it.
I'm here on business to finalize the UNDRCRWN GIL 2-0 collaboration (the one Gil likes the most)
I'm a hired gun for adidas. I work on the REMIX product for them.
A good friend of mine, Bryon Sheng called me over a year ago to help put a lifestyle spin on the performance product.
The product has been recieved well, so they keep me around. lol!
I've worked with everyone from Reggie Bush, Agent 0 himself, KG, TMAC, TD, Chauncy, etc. etc. It's a great way for me to stay in the loop with the bigtime sneaker world. Plus I get a chance to see everything as far as 2 years before anyone else.
Undrcrwn is a small niche of a niche. We are inspirational to these bigger brands so why not go straight to the source.
I try not to do too much "outside work" but when the right project comes along, I can't help myself. It's the gift and the curse.
NEVER NOT WORKING!
Checkout the main folder where it all goes down. I had to block out a few top secret things. So stay tuned.

WTF
I love trends. Especially when people jump on them and it just doesn't work out like they probably hoped.
Believe it or not this was made by Jordan Brand. THIS IS NOT A BOOTLEG CANAL ST. SPECIAL (Although I do love Canal St. for that). I had to consult a secret source that will remain nameless, to see if this actually was authentic. The verdict... TRUE. Crazy.
I used it as my Halloween costume. Thanks to Players on Woodland Ave. in Philly for the hookup. Let me know what you're going to to do with them when you're done displaying them.
I actually started collecting these full zip hoodies that zip all the way to the top.
Not sure when BAPE actually created this, but I was in Japan in early 2000 and bought the same style hoody that was a costume for some wrestler. It was funny as hell. I still have it somewhere.

Philly stand up!
For those who don't know me (which is nobody since my mom and my brothers are the only one who read this), I want to give a shout out to Philadelphia.
I left The Bay Area in California, Alameda to be specific, with 3 bags of clothes (mostly nike and Polo) to chase a dream.
7 years later, after moving to NYC twice, Portland (almost) and now back in PHilly. I can kind of call it home.
It has the character and soul of Oakland. Which is the neighboring city where I grew up. Anyways, I love philly. The food, the vibe, the people, the hood, the pace. It's really comfortable but you can get to NY in an hour and half. or DC in 2.
I still love NY, but philly is comfortable.
Twoonefive magazine is a new mag out of philly that will put us on the map. I invited them to the Starting 5 shoot a few weeks back and here is there report.

BLACKSMITH TV
http://nahright.com/news/2007/10/25/blacksmith-tv-episode-1-brooklyns-changing
Check out Talib Kweli's new show on the web. I'm really feeling all these new web shows.
Look out for Karmaloop TV, Weeklydrop TV and of course, UNDRCRWN TV.
The first UNDRCRWN cereal box makes an appearance in the end. After being sued by General Mills, I'm glad to see the box still poppin up. What started out as a great/cheap idea turned into an expensive one. Don't worry General Mills. Nobody thinks that there was actual cereal in our boxes.

STARTING 5
The ad campaign for UNDRCRWN's holiday collection is called starting5. We brought in Liz Baca from Gottagetthegoods.com to do the styling, Set Free for his comedic routine, Kelly (kellyturso.com) for photos amongst others... Here is a sneak peak from the shoot. Thanks to everyone that made it happen. The art for the books went out today and will be printed and distributed in November. Look out for the first edition of UCTV documenting the process.
THanks again to all the dj's!
